Disability Pride Month 2024
Happy Disability Pride Month!
Happy Disability Pride Month!
On June 19th, we gather to commemorate Juneteenth, a significant and historic observance that symbolizes the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States.
What do we think about when we think of summer? It’s a season that conjures many memories of neighborhood block parties, leisurely reading by the pool or beach, attending concerts and unwinding with games.
June is a month brimming with vibrant colors, love and acceptance as we come together to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the culture, traditions and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the United States.
As 2023 comes to a close, we find great joy in reflecting on the books we read throughout the year.
We hope everyone has had an incredible 2022 filled with action-packed fiction, gripping memoirs, riveting mysteries and magical fantasy adventures. We know our year at the library has been filled with all of the above!
September 18 – 24 is Banned Books Week, an annual celebration of our freedom to read in the United States, as well as an opportunity to bring awareness to books that have historically or recently been challenged in our country.
We like to think our library staff’s love of children’s books is evident to our customers.
Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month commenced on May 1, making 2022 its 30th annual celebration in the United States.
Happy December! It’s that time of year again when we look back and reflect on all of the joys and experiences 2021 has had to offer. Namely, we’re reflecting on some of the awesome new books that hit the shelves this year.
