AACPL works with local food pantries, food banks and nonprofits to provide customers with food and nutritional assistance resources; this includes library staff coming to partner sites with library resources and branches serving as food collection and distribution sites.

The following libraries have Little Free Pantries:  Busch Annapolis, Broadneck, Brooklyn Park, Crofton, Deale, Edgewater, Glen Burnie, Linthicum, Maryland City at Russett, Odenton, Riviera Beach (coming soon) and Severna Park.  More information is available at Caring Cupboards.

Crofton Library has a community garden, in partnership with FarmUnity.

Crofton Farmers Market - Crofton Library on Saturdays (May 11 - Oct 26) from 8 am to 12 pm.

SoCo Farmers Market  - Deale Library on Thursdays (May 2 - Nov 14) from 4 pm to 7 pm.  **Please note date and time changes for the following weeks: Sat., (Oct. 5, Nov. 23, Dec. 14): 10 am - 2 pm

Anne Arundel County Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry makes visits to Busch Annapolis, Brooklyn Park, Deale and Maryland City at Russett Libraries.

Blessed in Tech Ministries Food Pantry offers food assistance at Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library.

Inside the Mama & Baby Community Pantry at Discoveries

The Discoveries Community Pantry at Discoveries: The Library at the Mall accepts and redistributes donations of Similac and Enfamil baby formula.

Giant Food in Severna Park offers consultations with an in-store nutritionist - Emily Craft, MS, RDN, CSP, LDN, Nutritionist at Giant Food.

AACPL serves as a distribution site for Summer Meals Food Program Mobile Meals through Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS).

Snack carts for tweens and teens are available at Crofton, Odenton and Severn Libraries.

Free emergency baby pantry for families in need. Provides diapers, wipes, formula, and baby clothes.

Light House Shelter

Lighthouse Shelter logo

The Light House helps clients experiencing homelessness stabilize their health, maximize income, and secure safe and stable housing. Beyond providing food, clothing, and shelter, the organization also addresses the underlying causes of homelessness, such as lack of marketable job skills, addiction, and the debilitating effects of both mental and physical health issues.
