Read Between the Wines

We had a wonderful time at Read Between the Wines as we came together in support of our vision: "Literacy and Justice for All," which promotes the freedom to read whatever you want. Guests enjoyed wine, charcuterie, live music, shopping with Park Books and talking to staff at the library’s table. We even got a glimpse of a beautiful rainbow over the vineyard. Save the date for November 10 and join us for the Fall Edition of Read Between the Wines. We can’t wait to see you!

Cheers to AACPL as we "Read Banned Books"

Forward Brewing, Crooked Crab Brewing Co, Pherm Brewing Co, and Hysteria Taphouse have joined forces yet again to celebrate the library and your right to read!

Cathleen Sparrow, Executive Director of the AACPL Foundation, speaks about this exciting partnership in this interview by WMAR-TV2 News.

“Our library system and libraries across the country offer programs and access to all. We believe that you should have the right to read whatever book that you want. That's reflected in the collection that we have here in our library. We're a community connector. We want people to be educated and make their own choice. You can't make your own choice if you're limited in what you’re allowed to read. I also think some of the damages are if we have only have one kind book or one kind of thought process, we have one kind of society.”
