Gifts raised during Library Giving Week directly support Summer @Your Library (S@YL) and similar programming for readers of all ages.
Last year, nearly $50,000 was raised by people like YOU to support S@YL! This system-wide program is largely funded by the Library Foundation through your generous donations. There are programs, supplies and incentives that simply would not exist without financial support from donors - every dollar counts.
S@YL provides a much-needed benefit to county children, teens and adults by enhancing reading habits and preventing the “summer slide” by preparing children for the upcoming school year. Adults love this program because S@YL provides encouragement and motivation to pick up books during summer vacation. Parents and caregivers love this program because it provides fun, engaging, educational and recreational events that celebrate reading, art, music, nature and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. In 2024, S@YL hosted over 1,500 programs for more than 60,000 county residents.
In 2024, adult participation hit an all-time high, with over 1,500 registrations!
These events are the highlight of summer - help make 2025 even bigger and better by giving generously today.
Library Giving Week is April 1st-5th, but you can give now. Donate below!
