You've made it through the Summer at Your Library Challenge! Now it's time to celebrate! Visit our stations to make unique creations and learn more about different forms of art.

Enjoy a special evening storytime with your little ones - just before bedtime! Pajamas are encouraged, and children can even bring their favorite stuffie. We will read books, sing songs, and have fun while learning. 

Join our Boomwhacker Band to discover music and rhythm through playing fun games and learning a few songs using our Boomwhackers!

Children in K-2 can practice their reading skills through group reading, activities and games based on popular beginner reader books. Each session will focus on a different theme.

Join us for a special Story Hike at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center!

Get ready for back to school! Create DIY school accessories like locker magnets and pencil toppers, or bring your own notebooks and folders to decorate with the craft supplies provided.

Join us in celebrating National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Enjoy games, giveaways and free food, courtesy of our community partners. The

Take the LEGO Challenge and build a masterpiece! LEGO creations will be displayed after program.

Ever wondered how a lava lamp works? Make your own hypothesis and experiment with multiple different strategies to make the most colorful and interesting lava lamp you can! Supplies will be provided.

Use our space to play board games with friends or make new ones. Bring your favorite game or choose from our selection including everything from chess to checkers to modern classics. 

Celebrate summer and "Exercise with your Child Week" with a Story, Hike, and Campfire at the North Tract of Patuxent Research Refuge.

Does your 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader like to read, play games, and have fun? Join us for the Rad Readers Book Club! Each month we meet to discuss a different book, followed by crafts and activities related to the story!  

Learn about simple electric circuits by creating a light up greeting card.

Explore a different science topic the second Saturday of each month.  

Journey through the pages of some of our most popular book series! Curious readers will have the opportunity to explore some of their favorite characters and their adventures in this hands-on program. Drop in anytime between 2pm and 4pm.
