Where did henna come from? The answer might surprise you! In this event, participants are taken around the world to explore the varied ways henna has been adopted by cultural communities, from medicinal to body art, over thousands of years.

Teens, ages 11-17 explore the craft of writing with the help of a volunteer from the Maryland Writers' Association. A completed permission form is required for new attendees.

Come out and meet Susan Muaddi Darraj, author of the children's book series Farah Rocks. Susan will read excerpts from her books about Farah, a funny and brave girl navigating 5th grade.
