Come out and meet Susan Muaddi Darraj, author of the children's book series Farah Rocks. Susan will read excerpts from her books about Farah, a funny and brave girl navigating 5th grade. Susan will discuss inspiration for creating a lead Arab American character, importance of diversity and representation in books, and how she weaves in her Palestinian American heritage. For any budding young authors, there will be a fun activity about character building for a book series of your own!
