MORE TO CHECKOUT
Birding Kits now available for checkout
In partnership with Patuxent Research Refuge, we are pleased to announce Birding Kits are available for checkout at our branch. With child and adult sized binoculars, a field guide, and suggestions for nearby birding sites, you'll have all you need to begin your birding adventure!
Community Partners
In partnership with Caring Cupboard, we have a Little Free Pantry! The mission of the Caring Cupboard program is to try to ensure that no citizen, and especially children, in Anne Arundel County suffers from food insecurity or hygiene issues of any kind and for any reason through providing food and basic necessities. We are proud to host a Caring Cupboard and we welcome community members to take what they need and donate what they can. If you drive towards the Russett Community pool past our building, it is on the left in the grassy median on our property.
We partnered with the Watershed Stewards Academy and Girl Scout troops 8476 and 476 to install a demonstration Conservation Landscape garden at the branch. Over 120 native plants including Chokeberry bushes, Milkweed, Black Eyed Susans and Asters were planted on a beautiful fall Saturday.
Fun for everyone
Try our scavenger hunt, or see how many items you can find in our "fish" tank. Each month there is a new challenge.
Did you know the Maryland City at Russett Library has puzzles you can help put together and board and card games you can play in the branch? Ask our staff member to see a list of available games to use while you are here.
We also have a game and puzzle exchange cart. Come drop off your gently used board games or puzzles, and find a new one to take home.
