Library customers may report a lost or stolen library card and/or key tag in person, by telephone or e-mail to any Anne Arundel County Library location. Lost or stolen cards should be reported to the library as soon as possible. Customers can present identification and register for a replacement card in person.
Branch Managers and Circulation Supervisors have the discretion to accept alternate forms of identity and residential address verification from persons who are unable to present valid credentials due to hardship or other circumstances. Branch Managers may delegate this authority.
Customers are responsible for library materials checked out on their card until it is reported lost or stolen. Items and/or bills may be removed from customer accounts if the customer provides a valid police report. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
