Kits Available at Maryland City at Russett Library
(August 5, 2022–Annapolis, Md.) – Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) officials today announced a new addition to its Library of Things for customers to check out. In partnership with the Patuxent Research Refuge, AACPL is now offering birding kits at its Maryland City at Russett location.
The newly added kits include one set of adult and children’s binoculars, local birding guide, tip sheet, optic cleaning cloth and drawstring bag. Kits, which can be borrowed for 21 days, can be placed on hold through the library’s online catalog but must be checked out and returned to the Maryland City at Russett Library at 3501 Russett Common in Laurel.
“Our new kits provide a wonderful opportunity for families to explore the joys of bird watching at no expense,” said AACPL CEO Skip Auld.
Additional unexpected items AACPL offers through its Library of Things include passes for the Museum of Historic Annapolis, William Paca House and Gardens, Historic London Town and Gardens and Hammond-Harwood House; fishing poles, ukuleles, Wi-Fi hotspots, Chromebooks and more.
