Anne Arundel County Public Library Hosts Halloween Events for All Ages  

(October 18, 2024 – Annapolis, MD) Anne Arundel County Public Library is offering the following events at area libraries to celebrate Halloween: 

Halloween Storytimes 

Broadneck: Saturday, October 26 at 11 am 

Discoveries: Monday, October 28 at 10:30 and 11:30 am, Thursday, October 31 at 10:30 am and Tuesday, October 29 at 10:30 am 

Edgewater: Monday, October 28 at 5:30 pm 

Mountain Road: Monday, October 28 at 11 am  

Linthicum: Saturday, October 26 at 10:30 am 

Riviera Beach: Thursday, October 31 at 10:30 am 

Preschoolers and kids are invited to celebrate the spooky season with various types of Halloween stories, a costume parade, treats and activities! 

Teen Lock-ins 

Discoveries: Friday, October 18 at 6 pm 

Edgewater: Friday, October 25 at 5:30 pm 

Glen Burnie: Friday, October 18 at 6 pm 

Teens take over the library to see just how spooky it can be! We'll have Halloween-themed crafts, games, snacks, a costume contest, and lots of fun activities to explore. Costumes are welcome! 

 

Busch Annapolis 

Incredible Spooky STEM Challenge 

Monday, October 21 at 6:15 pm 

Kids will explore lots of fun experiments like jumping ghosts, bat wings, building a bone bridge, creating a treat toss and more! 

 

Crofton 

Haunted Laboratory: Halloween Science 

Tuesday, October 22 at 5:30 pm 

Kids will wander through the spooky lab to finish the scientist's abandoned experiments. 

Reading Rebels: The Horrors Persist! 

Wednesday, October 30 at 4:30 pm 

Reading Rebels is for teens (11-17) who love to read, snack, and hang out over crafts and games! This month, we will read and discuss books in the horror, thriller, and suspense genres.

Halloween Dance Party 

Friday, October 25 at 10:30 am 

Jump up, clap your hands and stomp around at this high-energy Halloween bash. Costumes encouraged! 

Halloween Crafternoon 

Tuesday, October 29 at 2 pm  

Kids are invited to unleash their creativity and dive into a world of Halloween-themed crafts. From creepy critters to ghostly decorations, this fun-filled session is perfect for young crafters. 

Trick or Treat at the Mall! 

Thursday, October 31 from 4 pm to 7 pm 

Trick or Treat in a safe, dry environment at the Annapolis Mall. Start at the library to decorate a treat bag, then visit other retailers for some treats!

Día de los Muertos - Ofrenda Nicho Box 

Wednesday, October 30 at 6 pm 

Día de los Muertos is a celebration for families and communities to honor and remember loved ones who have passed on. 

 

Glen Burnie  

Halloween Trunk or Treat 

Wednesday, October 30 at 4 pm 

Come in costume for a Spook-tacular trick or treat experience! There will be treats, crafts, games and more! Participants are invited to bring a canned good/nonperishable item for a local food pantry.
