(April 3, 2024 – Annapolis, MD) Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) will be closed Saturday, April 6 through Sunday, April 7 for system upgrades. All library buildings will open to the public on Monday, April 8 at noon. The upgrades will also disable our catalog and any resources that require a live connection to this new integrated library system from Friday, April 5 at 5 pm through Monday, April 8 at 10 am.
Resources that will be impacted include Overdrive, LinkedIn Learning, Kanopy, Creativebug and ABC Mouse. Overdrive users will be able to read and/or listen to works they have already checked out but are le to renew, borrow or place a hold on new items. Furthermore, customers will now receive notices about their holds and return dates via Message Bee. SMS notifications will now come from 410-921-9964.
Many of the library’s other resources just require an AACPL card number and should work as normal. The new catalog will be available for use by the public and access to all resources will be restored after 10 am on Monday, April 8.
