(October 11, 2023 – Annapolis, MD) Officials from the Anne Arundel County Public Library today announced a series of special events as part of the 9th annual Maryland STEM Festival, a family-friendly statewide celebration of science, technology, engineering and math that runs from October 13 to November 11.

Odenton Library
Tuesdays, September 19, October 17 and November 7 at 4 pm
The 780th Military Intelligence Brigade will help teens advance through computer game levels to hone their hacking skills.
The Healing Power of Chemistry
Kids and teens will join a chemist from the American Chemical Society for hands-on experiments exploring chemistry related to health and medicine.

During this interactive show for all ages, we will learn about weather science. Help Eric Energy create vortex fog rings, bubbling potions, clouds on the ground and more!
Echoes of Nature: Creepy Crawlies
Discoveries: The Library at the Mall
Monday, October 30 at 3 pm
All are invited to meet live animals and learn which creepy crawlies are the “good guys” and find out why the “bad guys” are important in nature too. A signed waiver is required and available online.
