Our programming schedule includes both online and in person events. Please visit our calendar of events to find a wide variety of programs and events.

We continue to work in partnership with many County agencies to provide programs that benefit our community. These include Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Anne Arundel United, the Anne Arundel Police Department, the Anne Arundel Department of Health, and more.

Search our extensive collection of close to one million items, including print and eBooksaudiobook CDs and eAudiobooksmovies and TV shows on DVD or streaming on Kanopymusic CDs, or streaming music from Naxos. In addition, you can borrow a fishing pole, a ukulele, museum passes or even hotspots for internet access anywhere there is cell phone service. AACPL is a community resource for new and existing technology. Computers are available for public use at each library location for one hour sessions. Time can be extended if no one is waiting.

We offer free wireless printing. Customers may print 10 black and white pages per day that can be picked up curbside.

Outdoor Wi-Fi is available at all locations.    

Checkout a wifi hotspot  take along with you when you know you won't have wifi access. We also offer Chromebook kits. These kits contain a Chromebook and hotspot to connect to the internet anywhere there is mobile phone coverage.

Libraries are needed more than ever in our community. A library card is a gateway to the resources and tools you need to make the most of learning from home. Find resources to help your K-12 student with virtual learning

AACPL now offers Chromebook kits. These kits contain a Chromebook and hotspot to connect to the internet anywhere there is mobile phone coverage.

We offer services for Anne Arundel County's diverse population. Information and resources for military personnel and veterans, links to immigration resources, and bilingual online events for new members of our community.

AACPL makes its materials and services accessible to homebound county residents via our Library by Mail service. We also offer accessible workstations, software, and more for those who need it.

Accessibility

We have several programs and services that can assist community members of all abilities. Our Library by Mail service provides free home delivery of library material for those homebound due to illness, injury, or other disability. Other services and resources include at least one wheelchair accessible computer at each library location, Windows Narrator screen reader and Windows Magnifier software on our public computers, and a large selection of large print books.

Content: Our library is a key partner in our county's primary and secondary education efforts. We've been helping to bridge the summer learning gap through our long-standing Summer programs and by providing online homework assistance. We provide virtual library cards to all public school students through the SAIL program. We also support a large homeschooling community in Anne Arundel County.

Students of any age can find hundreds of thousands of magazine, newspaper, and professional journal articles using our EBSCO Discovery Service search. Have a research question? Ask a librarian online, get help from the Brainfuse HelpNow service, or you can call or visit one of our 16 branches for help.

Our library provides important resources for adults in our community. Job and career helpbusiness and investment informationservices for military personnel and veterans, and grant research assistance for nonprofits or individuals [are only a few of the services we offer. Lifelong learning is supported with access to a variety of premium resources: learn a new language with Mango Languages or Rosetta Stone Library Edition, polish your skills or learn new ones from courses on Udemy or LinkedIn Learning, find out about your family with Ancestry Library Solution or Heritage Quest.
