The Local History Collection, located in the Maryland Room at Busch Annapolis Library, contains descriptive and historical materials concerning Maryland, with a focus on Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
The primary aim of this collection is general community interest, not specialized research. In order to provide access to these resources for all members of our community and to promote the study of local history, items in this collection may be checked out and customers may place holds on these items to pick up at any branch of the Anne Arundel County Public Library.
The Library also provides these specialized local history resources:
The Joan Cass Beck Collections – a special collection of materials on Anne Arundel County heritage, archaeology, history and preservation.
Kuethe Historical & Genealogical Research Center – a collection of books, manuscripts, maps, photographs, genealogical, biographical and subject files from the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society and the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society.
