Food Resources at the Library.

AACPL works with local food pantries, food banks and nonprofits to provide customers with food and nutritional assistance resources; this includes library staff coming to partner sites with library resources and branches serving as food collection and distribution sites.

The following libraries have Little Free Pantries:  Busch Annapolis, Broadneck, Brooklyn Park, Crofton, Deale, Edgewater, Glen Burnie, Linthicum, Maryland City at Russett, Odenton, Riviera Beach and Severna Park.  More information is available at Caring Cupboards.

Crofton Library has a community garden, in partnership with FarmUnity.

Crofton Farmers Market - Crofton Library on every other Saturday (Feb 1 - Apr 26) from 9 am to 1 pm (weather permitting).

SoCo Farmers Market  - Deale Library on Thursdays (May 1 - Nov 13) from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Anne Arundel County Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry makes visits to Brooklyn Park, Deale and Eastport-Annapolis Neck libraries.

Inside the Mama & Baby Community Pantry at Discoveries

The Discoveries Community Pantry at Discoveries: The Library at the Mall accepts and redistributes donations of Similac and Enfamil baby formula.

Giant Food in Severna Park offers consultations with an in-store nutritionist - Emily Craft, MS, RDN, CSP, LDN, Nutritionist at Giant Food.

Child & Adult Care Food Program (After School Meals) provides afterschool meals and snacks to children up to age 18 in lower income areas of the county through Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS)

School Breakfast Program is a federally assisted meal program available at all AACPS that offers free and reduced-price breakfast meals to eligible students based on family income.

Summer Food Service Program provides free, nutritious meals and snacks to children in low-income areas during the summer months through AACPS.

Snack carts for tweens and teens are available at Crofton, Odenton and Severn Libraries.

Arundel House of Hope

Arundel House of Hope. helping the Homeless since 1992

Arundel House of Hope is a non-profit ecumenical organization that provides emergency, transitional, and permanent affordable housing and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Anne Arundel County. We help people who are experiencing homeless or transitioning out of homelessness by offering support services like a Resource and Day Center, Warming Center, Community Recovery Center, and more. We provide emergency shelter to unhoused individuals during the winter months through the Winter Relief program.
