Program Description

Event Details

Nalbinding predates knitting and crochet by several thousand years with variations found around the world. A blunt needle and lengths of yarn are used to create fabric by making interconnected loops. In this program, participants will get a short history of nalbinding. They will learn starting, adding new yarn, creating rows and finishing using Oslo stitch. Oslo is one of the simplest stitches and a good foundation for learning more complicated stitches.

The students will make a small wrist warmer to take home. No previous experience with knitting or crochet is needed! Left handers are welcome. Registration is required.
