Tell Me No Lies by Andrea Contos, classified as a shocking YA thriller, follows two very different sisters, Nora and Sophie. Already strained, Nora and Sophie’s bond is put to the ultimate test when Sophie's boyfriend goes missing the night of a party – and Nora ends up being the main suspect. Sophie saw her boyfriend, Garrett, leave the party with her sister, and she is overwhelmed with the possibilities of what might have happened to him. When Sophie starts getting messages from someone claiming to be Garrett, saying they are going to get revenge for what has happened to him, she is determined to find out what Nora is hiding.
I really enjoyed the plot of this story. I am a big thriller/crime enthusiast, so I was intrigued by all the mysterious things happening in the book, and I liked the web of lies between everyone; I was all for it! The main thing that kept me interested in the story was the fact that whatever happened to Garrett was not obvious, nor was who did it, so continuing to read to figure out the truth was the biggest appeal for me.
One thing I disliked about the book was that the sisters didn't have the best bond. I think the story would have looked better overall if they had had a better relationship. I would recommend this book for crime lovers.
