Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) will participate in the 8th annual Maryland STEM Festival (October 14 – November 13), a family-friendly statewide celebration of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)! Join us as we spark curiosity in the next generation of STEM enthusiasts that could lead them to one day solve local and global challenges with innovative and sustainable solutions. This 30-day festival is free and open to all, with interactive learning designed to inspire even the youngest minds.
From STEM-themed storytimes to a NASA James Webb Telescope lecture, AACPL will feature a wide range of festival programming to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Don't miss the chance to discover the science of how crash-test dummies help make cars safe, experience a living biography presentation of America’s first woman in space, gaze at the sky during a star party, observe the cosmos from an indoor planetarium, learn how to decode secret messages from the NSA, compete in a Lego challenge, get creative in one of our makerspaces and so much more!
Want fun beyond the 30 days of Maryland STEM Festival at AACPL? Experience even more in-person and virtual STEM at any of our 16 branches throughout Anne Arundel County all year by checking our calendar for what's happening.
