Imagine a magical, whimsical hotel shows up in a new place every day. For the lucky guests who are able to stay at the hotel, it’s an experience of a lifetime. Unfortunately for Jani and her sister Zosa, they can’t afford a stay but they are able to interview for a job at the hotel. As Jani learns more about the hotel she begins to uncover some dark secrets underneath the glamour, and she doesn’t know who to trust.
I really liked this book. The worldbuilding was very well thought out. The writing was very descriptive and I felt like I was experiencing the magic of the hotel with Jani. The characters were interesting and unique. The plot was paced perfectly. As we learned more about the hotel and the magicians, I couldn’t put the book down.
The only down fall in my opinion is the ending. I was kind of let down by the ending as it was a bit cliché. Additionally, I wished there was a bit more character development and growth especial from Jani in the book.
All in all I would recommend this book for those who want to be swept away into a fantastical, magical world and lose themselves inside the Hotel Magnifique!
