AACPL's Career Center Gets an Update

One of the many reasons that people settle in Anne Arundel County is our proximity to jobs in Washington D.C. We’re also the proud home of the United States Naval Academy and Fort Meade, which employ many of our county residents. Other community members work at agencies that rely on federal grants for funding. We know many people who live in our county are feeling the effects of recent federal government actions.

In response, our librarians have overhauled our Career Center webpage to better serve our customers’ current needs. This page is a one-stop shop for Anne Arundel County job seekers and includes:

  • Links to webpages for federal workers created by Governor Wes Moore’s office and the Maryland Department of Labor.

  • Access to JobNow by Brainfuse, a library cardholder exclusive, which gives access to live help from career experts including:

    • Unemployment benefits application assistance

    • Résumé writing and review

    • Interview skills

    • Job Searching.
