IMPORTANT: Ensure that your browser allows cookies. Unlimited access will not work unless cookies are turned on. For instructions on how to do this, see below for your browser of choice:

Access lasts for 24 hours after being referred from our website form. You can regain access after that by repeating the steps above and logging in with your existing Banner account.

This allows The Banner to place a unique identifier on your browser that bypasses the paywall and keeps your login information. For more information on The Banner's cookie policy, click here.

The Banner’s mobile app is free to download and most users can access it through AACPL, but other users receive a prompt to purchase a paid subscription for full access. To learn more about subscribing, visit https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/subscribe/.

We encourage all users to try accessing The Baltimore Banner app through AACPL as it tends to allow users to do so. If you want to see if you have app access, please follow these steps.

  1. Download The Baltimore Banner app on your device.
  2. Go to The Baltimore Banner library card entry form here on your device's browser, enter your library card number and submit.
  3. Click the Click here to continue button to continue to The Banner’s website.
  4. When the registration form appears, create a free account or sign into an existing one.
  5. If you are on an Apple device, you will likely receive a prompt at the top of your screen to open the page in The Baltimore Banner app. Click "Open" and you will be redirected to the app.
If you are on an Android device, just exit your browser and open up The Baltimore Banner app.
  6. Once you are in the app, you will either have access for 24 hours just as you would on a browser, or you will be prompted to enter payment details.

We are monitoring this discrepancy in access permissions and will keep this information up to date as the situation progresses as we are not yet certain what the cause of this inconsistency is.
