Summer at Your Library Quest

Welcome to the 2024 Summer @ Your Library Quest! A quest is like an adventure with a specific mission or goal in mind. Your goal this summer is to make reading fun. Play games, win prizes, and boost your reading skills while you’re at it!

Between June 1 and August 31, you can sign up for the Summer @Your Library Reading Quest at any branch and pick up a game board to track your progress. You may also register online and log your books through Beanstack.

How to Play

1. Decide how long you will read each day. Even 5 minutes counts!

2. Color in a shape for each day you reach your goal or complete an activity. Suggested activities:

Try reading a sign when you visit a park or beach this summer.
Learn a new outdoor skill, like flying a kite, riding a bike, or trying a skateboard.
Explore a list of books celebrating differences.
Attend a library program.

Do a science experiment or STEM project.
Upcycle and create something new.
Take a mindfulness break.
Practice a random act of kindness.
Prepare a meal with your family.
Play a game with a friend or family.
Clean up your yard or room.
Call a friend or family member.
Smile at everyone you see all day.
Name 5 things you are grateful for.
Write a story, poem, or song. Do a craft, draw, or paint. Share your creation with family or friends.

3. When you reach the first tent at day 15 you're halfway there and it’s raffle ticket time!

Fill out the attached Raffle Ticket 1 and visit your local library to drop off your ticket, collect your halfway prize and keep going!
When you reach the end at 30 days – all done! Fill out the attached Raffle Ticket 2 and visit your local library to drop off your ticket and collect your completion prize!

4. Any librarian at the desk can help collect your tickets and pick out your prizes. We’re ready to meet you!

Note: Grand Prize Drawing will take place on 9/9/2024. Winners will be notified on 9/10/2024.

Cómo jugar

3. Cuando llegues a la primera carpa en el día 15, ¡ya estás a mitad de camino y es hora del boleto de rifa!

¡Completa el Boletín de Rifa 1 adjunto y visita tu biblioteca local para entregar tu boleto, recoger tu premio a medio camino y continuar!
Cuando llegues al final en 30 días, ¡todo hecho! ¡Completa el Boletín de Rifa 2 adjunto y visita tu biblioteca local para entregar tu boleto y recoger tu premio de finalización!

4. Cualquier bibliotecario puede ayudar a recoger tus boletos y elegir tus premios. ¡Estamos listos para conocerte!
