Dylan Behler, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, was appointed to serve on the Anne Arundel County Library Board of Trustees in 2024 by County Executive Pittman. He brings a wide array of experience to the Board.
Professionally, Dylan currently serves as the Director of Legislative and Constituent Services at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources where he helps lead the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay, the protection of our most pristine natural lands, and ensuring that Marylanders have equitable outdoor access. He has served previously as Chief of Staff for State Senator Sarah Elfreth and as a committee analyst for then-Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr.
Dylan has also served in a variety of other roles. Currently, he serves as the Chair of the Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee -- and at 26 years old he is the youngest County Party Chair in the State. Previously, he served on the Executive Committee of the Anne Arundel and Maryland Sierra Club, as president of the Anne Arundel County Young Democrats, and as treasurer of the South County Democratic Club.
