Celebrate the return of light on the shortest day of the year with a Story, Hike, and Campfire with a Ranger from Patuxent Research Refuge (North Tract).

This event will be held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for walking and being outdoors. Geared toward ages 5 and up but the young and young at heart are all welcome!

Meet at the entrance gate.  Since the Refuge is only open to program attendees on this date, the Ranger will let everyone in at once.  Participants must arrive at the gate by 2 pm - late arrivals will not be allowed access.
