Program Description

Event Details

Elementary aged children will practice their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills by performing fun short plays in groups. Children will be able to make their own sock puppets and use props to perform the plays.

Reader's theater is a way to involve children in reading aloud. In reader's theater, children “perform” by reading scripts created from grade-level books or stories. Hosted by Discoveries: The Library at the Mall.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters are available with advanced notice for library-sponsored programs. To schedule an interpreter, complete this request form at least one week prior to the event date. For questions, email programming@aacpl.net.
