Penniless pulp novelist Holly Martins has traveled to Vienna because his friend, Harry Lime has offered him a job. However, upon his arrival, Martins finds that Lime has recently died under mysterious circumstances. As Martins delves deeper into the mystery, he uncovers a web of corruption and deceit, and uncovers incredible dark secrets about Lime's life and death.
