AACRC offers mediation, facilitation, and community conferencing services to individuals and groups in conflict. These services are free of charge to residents of Anne Arundel County. They also offer training and workshops in mediation, anger management, and other conflict resolution processes.
The Gun Violence Intervention Team (GVIT) under the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, works to address gun violence as a public health issue. The GVIT is using a public health, data-driven, and community-engaged approach to address gun violence. Use this site to find statistics, trends, and resources for gun violence prevention.
Through a partnership with the Anne Arundel County Department of Health Gun Violence Intervention Task Force, gun safety locks are available at all Anne Arundel County Library locations. County residents over 18 years old are eligible to receive up to two free gun locks per day. Locks are available while supplies last.
Offers crisis shelter and a 24/7 hotline as a confidential lifeline to domestic violence victims in need. Counselors are trained in crisis intervention, safety planning, counseling, and legal referrals, and pro-active advocacy.
