In this heart touching book, we follow the life of Emily Lonergan.
Emily’s best friend, Lizzie, died a year back and Emily is still mourning her loss. So, when her best friend’s family comes back into town claiming that they are visiting Lizzie’s grave, Emily doesn’t think much of it. But, she’d never expect that Lizzie’s family would betray her the way that they did. Soon enough, Emily finds out that mourning parents would do anything to get their child back.
I really liked this book. When I say this read will make you feel every emotion, trust me, I mean it. When Lizzie’s family betrayed Emily, I felt her surprise and pain. When Emily realized that she may never see her family again, I felt her sadness and resignation. When Emily made a new friend in the midst of all of this, I felt joy for her! I think that if you read this book, you will feel for Emily, too, as if she were really your friend. I loved everything about this book and if there was a sequel I would read it! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes dramas. I would recommend it from ages 10 and up.
