Anne Arundel Community College offers free English Basic Skills classes for students 18 or older who are just beginning to study English. Classes address listening, speaking, reading and writing skills that are used for work and everyday life.
Anne Arundel County Literacy Council
The Literacy Council helps adults and out-of-school youth improve their skills through educational assessment and one-on-one tutoring. Programs available for literacy, ESL, math, and high school diploma preparation (GED) instruction. Call 410-269-4419 for help or visit www.icanread.org.
