Two Can Keep a Secret is a suspenseful, mysterious, true crime book that keeps you guessing and on your toes. This book follows Ellery and Ezra, teenage twins, who have moved to Echo Ridge, a small town with a dangerous past, to live with their grandma.
Ellery is a true-crime lover. Although Echo-Ridge may seem sweet and innocent, Ellery's aunt (a very popular homecoming queen) went missing and died from that town five years ago, making huge headlines. And now it seems like history is repeating itself as another girl goes missing during homecoming. This book also follows Malcolm, a teenage boy whose brother was the main suspect of Ellery's aunt’s death. Ellery and Malcom both are tossed into this mystery and have to overcome secrets and danger to figure out what is happening and set the truth straight.
This book is good for people who love murder mystery/true crime. This book had me "in a choke hold" and I finished it in two days. This story kept me guessing, and I personally was very shocked by the ending. Overall I do recommend this book and would also suggest Karen M. Mcmanus's other books because she is a very good author.
