Mr. Worthington is a native Marylander, born and raised in Baltimore. He graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Johns Hopkins University. He holds a master’s degree from Central Michigan University, and he graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Mr. Worthington has been Vice President and Sales Manager of the Carey Machinery and Supply Company, Inc., and held similar positions with the Industrial Supply Corporation and D.S. Pipe and Supply. In addition, he belongs to and has held offices in many professional and patriotic organizations, including the Reserve Officers Association, the Retired Officers Association and the Alumni Associations of Johns Hopkins. He currently serves on the board of the Maryland Military Historical Society and was Commander of the Maryland Defense Force, President of the Maryland Society Sons of the American Revolution, General President of the Sons of the Revolution, President General of the General Society of the War of 1812 and was recently made Honorary Colonel of the Fort McHenry Guard.
